Abstract: As the world moves through the 2020s; an era defined by the rapid advancement of technology, Artificial Intelligence seems to take the center stage as a major disruptor; bringing in its wake, several innovations in the field of science, medicine, agriculture, architecture, and even in conservative fields like legal practice. The term “artificial intelligence” was first coined by John McCarthy, who organized the Dartmouth Workshop in 1956. The goal of the workshop was to bring together researchers from various fields, including mathematics, cognitive psychology, and computer science, to explore the possibility of creating “thinking machines” and aimed to explore ways to make machines “behave” intelligently. From then on, several stages of advancements took place to bring the field to what we know it as today.
