Category: Fellow Farrah Rooney

Farrah Rooney works at the intersection of public policy and digital transformation, focused on how technology reshapes institutions and the systems that hold society together. Over the past two decades, she has built digital platforms and engagement systems across the nonprofit sector, leading national technology and campaign initiatives and advising organizations on digital strategy across corporate, nonprofit, and independent consulting roles. That hands on experience shapes how she thinks about governance, institutional capacity, and the real world application of policy decisions.

Farrah is currently a Master of Public Policy in Digital Society candidate at McMaster University, exploring how thoughtful policy can support more accessible, accountable, and resilient digital systems. A tech optimist, she believes innovation can move society forward, but only if the rules, incentives, and infrastructure being built today are intentional and equitable. She was also a guest lecturer at the University of Toronto on the role of companies in community engagement.
