Sarra Hannachi is a Tech researcher and responsible AI advocate, especially in the intersection of AI and emerging technologies with global security and international affairs, such as warfare and other geopolitical contexts. She is a Mozilla Fellowship Alumnus and a member of the Coalition for Independent Technology Research. She is now also acting as a member of North Africa IGF’s Multi-Advisory Group (MAG) 2026-2027. With a background in business and machine learning and both research and policy work with humanitarian organizations, think-tanks and AI safety non-profits, Sarra applies analytical skills, policy-driven research and critical thinking when addressing Technology risks in security settings and AI governance.
She is currently the founder and host of Security Unwired, a podcast that offers thought-provoking discussions on the ethical and safety dimensions of AI and Tech along with their implications and role in warfare, conflict, border security and humanitarian action.
