Harshini is a Product Manager with a Masters’ Degree (MS) in AI and Control Systems from the University of California San Diego. Her first foray into work was as a Mapping and Localization Engineer at a Self-Driving startup in Boston. She then moved into Technical Program Management overseeing various areas spanning computer vision and perception, mapping and localization, planning / control and software engineering.
Her corporate experiences drove her towards learning about Ethical AI and speaking up about how to make the tech industry fairer, inclusive, and less profit-driver. Two years ago, she moved away from American corporate life in order to pursue entrepreneurship and writing. She founded a circular economic based stationary and design business in India and worked part-time as a reporter for India Currents covering topics like Immigration, Tech and Politics. Now, she works as a Product Management Consultant for US based firms and volunteers with the Ethical AI Alliance. She also loves experimenting with different cuisines, playing Nintendo with her husband, and spending loads of time with her pets (2 dogs, 6 cats, and growing.)
